Struck by Luck

As a photographer Leon believes that the decisions he needs to make as an analogue photographer bring up the best in him. Leon uses prime lenses and makes framing and positioning an important factor in his work. He prints the photos in the dark room just the way he shot them, influenced by befriended photographer and mentor Ferry André de la Porte. Leon prints and learns at his studio in Amsterdam on a weekly basis.

As a portrait photographer, Leon also mostly photographs in analogue and captures the spontaneous moment. With a love for aesthetics and the slightly absurd, Leon is developing a specific view on editorial and fashion photography.

Digital – of course – is always an option :)
